Missions
Mr. Pockets
Immanuel actively pursues its mission in our community and the world. Beyond the budget support for the missions of the ELCA and the Montana Synod, a program called “Mr. Pockets” (a bib-overalled form at the entrance to the Parish Hall) invites members to empty their pocket change into the figure’s pockets in support of local missions and charities. Every month a specific mission focus is featured.
Every Sunday, Immanuel members bring food items for the Absarokee Food Bank to help alleviate hunger in our community and to help those in need. On the 1st Sunday of each month our food donations are picked up by the food bank.
Every year Immanuel's women's organization, Faith Circle, gives all of its money to missions. Local missions and charities are the primary focus of their donations.
