Faith, Fun & Fellowship

December 11th, 2022 - FFF sings during worship at ILC

Grace and Peace to you from God the Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Absarokee began the Faith Fun and Fellowship (FFF) afterschool program on September 21st and Confirmation Classes to be scheduled. Sunday Bible Study for all interested will begin October 2nd at 9am before the worship service.

FFF is for any student grades K-4 and will be held each Wednesday following school dismissal. Students will we walked by a leader from the school to the church at 301 South Montana Avenue. Dismissal is at 4:30pm. All are welcome. A snack is provided at the start of each time together. This gathering is intended to provide a safe and nurturing place for your children regardless of church affiliation or background. Students will be involved in activities, games, stories, singing, crafts, and occasional local outings intended to tell them about Jesus Christ.

Emails will be sent to update and remind parents about classes and cancellations.  This year’s team is made up of Thale A., Karen R., Irene N., Kori N., and Pastor Drew N.  The curriculum this year will focus on teaching biblical stories, specifically surrounding the Ten Commandments. FFF is encouraged for students interested in Immanuel Lutheran Church’s Confirmation program.

Confirmation is for high school students, college students and adults who desire to learn more about the Ten Commandments, Apostle’s Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Holy Communion, Confession and Forgiveness, and Prayer through the lens of Luther’s Small Catechism. Much of the work will focus on memorization and class time is spent discussing questions. This is a program that culminates with students giving their own affirmation of faith during worship on Reformation Sunday, which is typically the last Sunday in October. Please contact Pastor Drew if you would like to begin.

First Communion Classes will be provided during the Lenten season for any families desiring teaching on the Lord’s Supper for them and their children. We will walk through the service, what we believe, and bake unleavened bread.

Peace be with you, Thale Arthun, Karen Reiner, Irene Nelson, Kori and Pastor Drew Nelson

“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7
