Women of Immanuel
Faith Circle is a women’s ministry organization at Immanuel. All women of Immanuel are invited to become members of Faith Circle. This group has a passion for missions and ministry. Each month they meet, study the Bible, pray and plan how they can help others. They also have a lot of fun in their fellowship.
Over the years they have given thousands of dollars to missions—local, regional and throughout the world. They receive no money from Immanuel’s budget and are completely self-sufficient (with God’s help). They use fund-raisers and offerings at meetings to finance their work.
Through the efforts of Faith Circle, quilts, school kits, mosquito netting, toiletries and other valued items have been shipped to those in need. Each year they host the Ladies Spring Tea for the women of the community as an outreach of Immanuel. They prepare and serve food at funerals at Immanuel in support of grieving families. They bring treats to shut-ins at Christmas, serve treats at nursing homes and send care-packages to those serving overseas in the military. They give money to many local missions and charities. They take on special improvement projects at Immanuel. They stay very busy helping others.
Faith Circle is a community of women created in the image of God called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit. They meet monthly (third Thursday of the month, at 1:00 p.m.).
